First Alert Forecast: Breezy winds expected through the weekend, more showers due on Friday

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Breezy trade winds have developed and will be with us through the remainder of the week. Higher terrain may experience areas of windy trades from Wednesday into this weekend. Showers will focus along more windward mauka exposures. Moisture from an approaching frontal boundary may enhance shower activity going into the weekend.
The current NW swell is dropping, but a bigger advisory level NW swell is due this afternoon, with possible warning level waves on Wednesday. Rough and choppy surf along east facing shores will rise during the second half of the week due to the strengthening trade winds.
